I had lost a lot of money in the stocks market to be honest. The dotcom crash and the Asia crisis brought by Soros had left me with lots of bitter memories. I learned like everyone else along the way but I m no professional when buying stocks but last year I had a good swing on Tencent shares 3 times.
Tencent shares had been moving up and down like a slow moving roller coaster except when it reaches it edge. When a share moves this way there is always opportunity to make some good money.
This year I m recommending Alibaba as a good buy.
I m definitely putting my money on Alibaba and Jack Ma this year. Not because the company is doing well or for the fact that it's other key business such as Taobao and Tmall is in the listed vehicle but because I simply believe there is a big reason for them wanting to get rid of Yahoo so badly. Consolidating all their companies into a single listed vehicle ? Who knows but I have a sense that something huge is going to happen with this company and Jack Ma.
